The venue

An estate all to yourselves, between Angers and Tours

In Mouliherne, Anjou, La Joyeuse Cousinade is an 11th-century stone house with more than a thousand years of history, fully renovated with every modern comfort, set in a wooded park bordered by the Riverolle.
The property is reserved exclusively for you during your seminar, ensuring complete confidentiality.

Between sessions, step outside for some fresh air: the park, the rowing boat on the river, the forest paths, the village on foot. Or gather in the old forge turned museum, with its two table football tables and darts. In the evening, the living room's large picture window opens onto the terrace, and the piano awaits the team's musicians.

Frequently asked questions

What you need to know

What sets La Joyeuse Cousinade apart from other seminar venues in Anjou?
It is an 11th-century house, more than a thousand years old and fully renovated, reserved for a single group. It is one house, not a cluster of cottages: up to 35 people work and sleep under the same roof (17 in private bedrooms), with a 35-person plenary room in the living room, 2 hours from Paris by TGV and by car, and with a concrete CSR approach. GRDF, Engie, Veolia and Leroy Merlin have already held their seminars here.
Can La Joyeuse Cousinade be booked for exclusive use?
Yes. The estate is reserved for a single group: you are the only people on site, in complete privacy.
How many people can stay?
Up to 35 people staying overnight, depending on the bedroom arrangement: 17 in private bedrooms, 25 with a bed each, 35 in shared beds.
Where is the estate and how do I get there?
In Mouliherne (49390), Anjou, between Angers and Tours. From Paris, the fastest option is the direct TGV to Saint-Pierre-des-Corps (57 min), then a drive of about 1 hour: 2 hours in total. You can also get off at Angers (1 h 20 by TGV, then a 50-minute drive) or at Saumur or Les Rosiers-sur-Loire, 30 min from the house, with a change. 20-space car park on site, with a charging point.
Is the estate suitable for an eco-responsible seminar?
Yes: green electricity, heat pump, salt-treated pool, rainwater for watering, a partnership with an ESAT (a sheltered-employment organisation) and a committed laundry (Anett). A concrete, measurable approach you can cite.
How do meals work?
Self-catering: the kitchen is equipped in duplicate for large groups (ovens, hobs, dishwashers), with a cold room and a three-phase power socket for caterers' vans. Under the covered terrace, two planchas and tables for 35. We give you a list of local caterers when you book.
What equipment is there for meetings?
Two spaces: the 90 m² plenary room on the ground floor (HDMI/VGA laser projector, large 367 cm screen, hi-fi) and the 23 m² meeting room on the 1st floor (6 tables, 26 chairs, 168 cm flat screen, flipchart). Wi-Fi on every floor.
What activities and visits are there around the estate?
Vineyards (Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil 25 min, Saumur-Champigny 30 min, Chinon 45 min), Loire châteaux (Baugé 12 min, Saumur 30 min, Langeais 33 min, Azay-le-Rideau 49 min, Villandry 41 min) and the Baugé golf course, one of the most beautiful natural golf courses in France, 12 min away.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes: of the 17 bedrooms, 3 are on the ground floor, including one that is particularly well suited, with a shower, WC and washbasin.
Can we hold a party on site?
Yes. After dinner, the living room becomes a dance floor: connect your playlists to the hi-fi via Bluetooth. Out of respect for the village, music stays indoors after 10 pm.
